Hello every1

I need yor help to calculate the roof degrees. i am a little limit on my english regarding term on roof, slope (rise) and all these words :(

but to come up with an exxample
height to ridge is 6m and wall height is 2,6m which means we have 3,4m height in attic room.
the house width is 20m/2 then we have 10m to the middle and a rectangular triangle.

In Cell A1 i have 3,4m for the height
In Cell A2 i have 10m for half the building lenght

Which formula should i use in cell A3 to find the roof degrees?

EDIT: By attic room i mean measure from ceiling to ridge

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Hi,

I am going back over some maths that I learnt over 30 years ago but I think....

In cell A3 try =DEGREES(TAN(A1/A2)).

I get an angle of 18.8%, does that sound right?

cheers,

Farmerscott
