I'd like to convert a weight such as 1 pound 14 ounces to just pounds, so that would be 1.875 pounds.

1 pound is 16 ounces, plus 14 more is 30 ounces. 30 / 16 = 1.875. 1 oz = 0.0625 lb.

I've been going back and forth on how to come up with a conversion formula.

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
I was really over-complicating it in my thought process... that makes a lot of sense. Thank you.
