In Excel's status bar, at the bottom left next to 'Ready', the 'Calculate' notice is showing. I have checked for circular references, but there don't appear to be any. Formulas>Error Checking>Circular References is grayed out, and Error Checking returns nothing. What else can cause this notice to appear? What do I have to do to make it go away?

If you have a numeric keypad, press Alt+7 on numeric keypad to type a bullet in Excel.
Do you have calculations set to Automatic?

Do you have "Enable iterative calculations" checked, in option, formulas?

That's whats causing it, as you probably have some circular references.
If you uncheck it & press F9 does it then show circular references?

That did the trick! I never knew that turning off iterative calculations would bring circulars into view. Very good to know. Thanks Fluff!

You're welcome & thanks for the feedback.
It's best not to enable iteration, for just this reason.
