CAGR error #NUM! (Help)

Can someone please help me with a CAGR Formula.

I have 3 Period I need to get a result for.

Date 1 = 5,000
Date 2 = 18,000
Date 3 = 2,000
Date 4 = -300

I am getting an error #Num!

Does anyone have a soltion. I need the CAGR For this

Using the following formula.
=RATE(3,,M24,-P24,0)

According to Excel help, you should use XIRR to calculate CAGR.
