I have a sheet with several buttons on it to allow a user to perform several automated actions.

Each macro involves opening a file, reorganising a lot of data and plotting graphs from them etc.

I want to add a cell on the main sheet that displays a value (part of the code of a form) and user input cell (with a button) that will allow the editing of this value without having to go into the code.

A user can check the value, if its acceptable take no action, though if it needs changing they can change it safely.

I did not write the original macro, or I would likely know how to do this.

Thanks.

It would also be good if someone could explain the steps that I need to take to do this, rather than just writing the code out (so I can learn).

i.e.

1) give the value that i want to display and edit a name (ValueX)
2) Assign a cell in "sheet1" to display "ValueX"

etc.. but also a clue on how to achieve these steps

Thanks in advance
