Hi,

I'm working on a project to design a revenue forecasting tool in Excel, with various User input controls and restrictions and then need to see aggregate data from multiple files and different reports based on different views (e.g. Single Client, practise type etc)

I think building this tool in Access would offer easier data controls and report outputs, as well as less files to manage and aggregate.

For the User input, they currently have 12 x 18 columns to represent each month (Columns N:HU, where first 3 columns per month are visible (Totals), other 15 columns per month hide/unhide). There is a separate input process to create each "row"

The User "view" needs to be 12 x 18 columns wide (meaning input/edit/delete) and these changes need to be tracked as well as "locked" at month end.

Creating the data relationships and queries shouldn't be a problem, but:

Request
Can anyone point me to online resource or similar that shows how to create a calendar driven input approach in Access that would best replicate an Excel worksheet set up as 12 x 18 columns? This needs to allow users to input and change values but also track change of any type (e.g. cell is blank and then user updates with a value or it has a value which is then deleted).

If not, any general comment, experiences on creating a calendar driven input interface for a User in Access.

TIA,
Jack

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
