Just about every page on Mr Excel gives me this error?
Is driving me nuts!!!

MessageBox pops up From Internet Explorer...

A Runtime Error has occured.
Do you wish to Debug?

Line: 2
Error: Unterminated string constant

When I choose 'Yes' to debug, the following
script appears in Microsoft Interdev.

candle.pl

Am I missing something in IE explorer 6.0.26

Thanks,
Tom

Sounds like it's just a little code problem with the "light a candle" donation stuff at the bottom of the pages that the PHP stuff doesn't like.

::shrug:: I've noticed the little "errors on page" thing in my IE status bar, but I don't have the message boxes turned on. If you want to turn them off, just go to Tools|Internet Options|Advanced and uncheck the box for "display notification for every script error."

As far as I know, that should do it.

Hi,

I experience the same problem with IE while Opera and Netscape does not create error-messages.

Kind regards,
Dennis

This was chafing my soul as well. I actually had the display unchecked and I was still being harassed by my I.E.; consequently, I checked Disable script debugging and it now seems that I can go about wandering the board in a more expected manner.

Thanks,

Hi guys

Worth adding IE is very poor as a rule, security is dreadful, ho num

If you techi your know IE comes from Windows not Office, common misunderstanding IE 6 or 6.02 or whatever is little better, i run FULL Xp, and ie 6.0.20.00.0000 and WinXp Full DSP but not SR1, does anyone and does SR1 cure this on Nt6 platform.

Kristys fix is dead on, but just intrested, also do you guys patch Windows by patch or online update from Microsoft site.

Reason if on line no ideas what you have installed really, but your be fully upto date to last download / install.

NT4 guys are you 7Sps to SP6a???

Intresting -

Hi Jack

Patch Windows by path because I would like to know what I install instead of leaving it to MS to decide on my behalf.

I prefer to use Netscape/Mozilla or Opera (I need different browsers to check my own site from time to time) due to weak/low security in IE.

Kind regards,
Dennis

Hi Folks!!

Just an FYI: I think the Error issue is in hand and under control now. If you continue to receive these unterminated script errors please, let me know!
