Broken Links to External Data

There an oracle database that I need to run queries and reports on. The thing is, the only way I can access it is through Access so I have created linked tables. This is going well so far. My queries, forms and reports are all working. The problem is that for some unknown reason my links will suddenly be broken and if I try to open a table (link) I get a Microsoft ODBC for Oracle Connect prompt asking me for username, password and server. When I enter the information I get "ODBC--cal failed." I have ruled out LAN connection issues because if I start a brand new database (without rebooting) and recreate the links, they'll work just fine.

I am looking for 2 things here...
1. What could cause my links to suddenly be broken.
2. Is there a way to fix the links?

Any direction anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. I have wasted a lot of time going back to ground zero and starting from scratch.

Thanks,
DJ

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
