hello all,
here is my problem: i have a db with over 2million entries grouped by my regional sales directors. i need to create an excel file for each rsd(regional sales directors) but of course excels limits are 65536 lines and each of my rsd's has more lines. so there will be multiple files per rsd.
i have no identifier to breakup each rsd grouping by, i was thinking of adding an unique number and breaking up each grouping this way but i am not sure if there is a better way.

in excel i can iterate a range and have a step value - is this possible in acces?

somehting like

for i = 1 to recordend step 30000

??????

thanks

dan

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
I think that your first idea of a unique number is best. Any sort of iteration with that sort of quantity of records is going to be slow!
If you add an autonumber field to the table it will give you your sequential numbers and you can use a query to limit the records for Excel.
