Breaking links in a word doc

Hi

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

I have a report in Word that has links to a number of excel workbooks. I would like to be able to break the links between the Word doc and the workbooks on Save As.

I can find my way around with simple Excel VBA but have no idea about using VBA in Word.

Any help appreciated
