Hi folks,

I have an excel spreadsheet (xlsm), with some minor code in it. Now when I open it I get the common error of 'Enable Links?', at which point I can choose to enable or not. The problem is that this link shouldn't be here at all, and when I try to remove it using Data > Edit Links > Break functions it doesn't seem to do anything.

How How How?

Cheers in advance,

Sam

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
To break the link, the worksheet that contains it needs to be unlocked. Is that it?

Or, sometimes links can be hidden in graphs or other objects, or in named ranges. Have you looked there?

Ahhhhh, feel really stupid now.

It was a named range that someone had obviously copied into the sheet and then kept the source range. I deleted these broken 'ranges' and it was fixed.

Many thanks.
