Good evening,
I have spreadsheets that I receive from clients which have times in different cells. I have a 8:50 in cell A1 and 3:10 in cell B1 when I looked closer the cell values both have AM in them. I looked at the next one and it also has 7:15 and 4:10 and they are also AM.
The times will never go before 7:00 AM and will never go past 4:30 PM.
How do I get 8:50 AM and the 3:10 AM to give me 6:20?

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Hi

Assuming these are times in the same day, try:

=B1-A1+IF(B1<A1,0.5)

Format the cell as time
<a1,0.5)< html=""></a1,0.5)<>
