Borders created without customized rules

Hello,

I'm running into an unusual situation in Excel (v 2016 Professional Plus). Upon entering data into cells, I am noticing random borders being drawn around the cell and row.

I checked for any "Customized Formatting" rules and none are enabled for the entire sheet yet this behavior still persists. I can subsequently remove the borders but this becomes more than a slight distraction as the new borders are drawn after entering more data into the active worksheet.

If anyone can shed some light on what is causing this or other things that I can check for, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Regards,
Mike

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Thanks for the warm greetings and prompt response - looking into the security update.
