I'm looking for a book (or books) for an absolute beginner to learn VBA for Excel. I guess I need a hold-my-hand type of book that explains everything one-step-at-a-time and WHY code is written the way it is, because I struggle mightily with syntax, etc., and understanding the why of it all. In other words, what goes where, and when and why.
I understand that the 'Absolute Beginners Guide To VBA' is really not a good book to start with because it presupposes some knowledge of the subject. I'm sort of an advanced Excel beginner on the verge of becoming an intermediate, but since I'm self-teaching, I need something that explains everything one step at a time and gives me examples to practice before moving on to the next step.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you.
