"Book2" created with linked cells. Now can't find Book2 file

I was in an Excel document and opened the same document in the screen (reduced the screen and added a second window in the document). Basically opened the document showing a different tab in the document. I changed a cell in the newly opened document tab and apparently saved the new document. The whole tab disappeared from the original document and I now have cell references to a new "Book2" document but I can not find that document anywhere?

When trying to find the document (Office Button > Prepare > Edit Links to Files) the popup window shows the Source as "Book2", Type as a "Workbook" with Status "Unknown". If I click on "open source" it gives me "Book2.xlsx could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name and verify that the file location is correct.

When I click on a linked cell in the original document I get the reference as "='[Book2]INVENTORY 2017'!G". I have done searches for "Book2", INVENTORY 2017, [Book2]... etc. Can't find that document on my laptop, cloud source or anywhere.

I am also getting a warning at the top of the document that reads "Security Warning - Automatic update of links has been disabled". When I click the options and enable content and click edit links I am back to the popup screen as noted above.

Basically, I want to get the original tab (now "book2") back into the original document!
