Looking at purchasing "Professional Excel Development" by Bullen, Bovey and Green. Curious if you all know how this book lines up with some other ones out there. I do a lot with SQL, Oracle Databases, Live Connections, looking at learning some Silverlight and ASP Net, as well as custom interfacing into Excel all using VBA. I've seen a giveaway of the book by some of the big wigs here in a forum search, but thats it, no review. Thoughts?

The book is predominantly about developing in Excel, rather than integration with other (non-Office) systems. There is a bit about data access, but there are better books for that, IMO and nothing particularly web-related that I recall (I haven't finished the second edition yet though)
If your primary focus is not Excel, it may not be the book for you.

^+1 (what Rory said)

You might find it worthwhile to take a look at "Excel 2007 Advanced Report Development" by T Zapawa

I should add that it's still well worth buying if you spend any real time building workbooks! :)
