Looking at purchasing "Professional Excel Development" by Bullen, Bovey and Green. Curious if you all know how this book lines up with some other ones out there. I do a lot with SQL, Oracle Databases, Live Connections, looking at learning some Silverlight and ASP Net, as well as custom interfacing into Excel all using VBA. Thoughts?

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
The key to this book is the word 'Development' in the title.

It assumes that you already have a strong knowledge of the Excel interface and of VBA, and it is the only book that deals with techniques for building solid Excel applications. The new chapters on .Net are pretty comprehensive, as is the new work on the Ribbon interface. Everything else has been updated but it's good stuff.

If you build high-end workbooks and want to push your skills and understanding, get this book.
