It is totally unacceptable for this site to cause sever 'health' warnings when being accessed, and for little or no information to be posted about the nature of the problem.

Is is insulting to be given a link to a May post!!

what you pay for is what you get...... or in this case you get far more than you pay for. This is a freaking awesome forum available for free, I'm sure you can find other forums with lower traffic (thus lower answer-rates) if you're so grumpy about this.

If the nature of the problem hadn't changed since May then there was no need to change the message until the root cause was discovered. Once the root cause was discovered then that was the time to give a new message. Google gave a reason that they thought was the problem. Once the problem was identified then the action was taken to update the software. The only problem I see with this is that once the decision was taken made to update the site then the message should have changed to reflect this. But in general if you believe there is a security risk then you act asap. If that means putting up an old message then so be it

Well this has been discussed to death now and there are already so many threads available to discuss this. This one won't be any different and I'm not sure there's anything else to be said that hasn't already been said. What with all the goings on the mods could do without yet another heated thread to moderate.
