My first post on this site, so please be gentle. I have looked through the previous posts and I haven't found what I needed.

It seems like a simple enough problem, but none the less I'm still having problems.

Under my criteria I enter my start date and my end date. If I enter in 3/1/04 to 3/5/04, I retrieve what I wanted, but also 3/10/04, 3/11/04, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Are your date fields actually saved in a date format, or in a text format? If they are saved in a text format, that would explain the results you are getting.

Also, when you are entering the criteria, are you entering the date surrounded by pound signs (i.e. #3/1/04#). That is how you tell Access you are entering a date as opposed to a number or text.

The problem appears to be that the data type for the "Date" field was changed to text from date/time.

I appreciate your help, now I just have to work on protecting tables.

Thank you for your time.
