Hi All

Hope someone can help.

We currently have to manually check 8 digit Commodity Codes on the UK Trade Tariff to find out the full 10 digit import code across multiple lines - anything up to 200 lines - and I was wondering if there was any way we could pass the 8 digit code, via a single column in an excel spreadsheet, to the Trade Tariff and get data back like the 10 digit code, whether the goods are dutiable, if there are any restrictions etc.

I know that there is a way to get this data via SQL using Python to query an API - but thats it - I know nothing about Python, HTML coding or SQLite, but I do know VBA for Excel a bit so was wondering if it could be done via that.

I know its a long shot but any help would be appreciated :)

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).
With VBA you could use XML http to send a GET request to the API to request the data. Set a reference to Microsoft XML, v6.0 in Tools->References in the VBA editor to make the XML library class names available to your VBA project.
