Looking for advice. I have been working on teaching myself VBA. I have a ton of beginner books and I look at websites and forums. I am struggling because I feel as though I am missing structure. Would a intro to programming class benefit me or would it be a waste of time?

Personally I think that it best to learn by working on a project and searching for suitable code/solutions when necessary.

I believe that more can be achieved from self-paced learning (see the links that I gave) - a course is likely to give you just the very basics and then you will still need to put it into practise to get a better understanding.

I agree with Derek. Sometimes it isn't easy if you don't have a project to hand (eg from your workplace). Not that I would wish to recommend another forum site over this one, but you could consider visiting Experts Exchange - it is a paid for membership site but the last time I was there (which was a year or two ago) you could answer questions without paying. Because of the structure of the site, most of the question askers there expect a full solution to be provided (eg rather than gentle prodding in the right direction as often happens here) and sometimes the requiremnts are extensive. This could provide you with ready-made mini projects to tackle.
