Hi there,

I am a complete beginner wanting to learn VB as it is extremely useful in my current role.

Can anyone recommend a good book, cd rom, or online course? I'd prefer to learn by doing, so there would have to be tutorials or something similar involved.

I am learning from scratch and have no previous programming knowledge.

Your help and advice would be appreciated,

Tom

p.s. if theres some where online where i can take lessons for free this would be great... the cheaper the better.

Excel Facts

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
I'd prefer to learn by doing

If that's true, then you've come to the right place. I've learned more from just reading/posting in this forum, than I ever would from any book.

I concur, I've never bought a book or taken any formal training. Everything I know, I learned from this board and as you'll see, I only joined in January. It's been the most valuable resource I have ever come across for anything in my life :)
