I just got a new Excel report from my company. I thought that it was running too slow so I sugegsted that they redo it in Access. The response I got was that the tool is in Access Runtime. This was the first time I encountered this phrase.
After Googling for a bit I think I understand that Runtime is like Acrobat Reader, it is Access Junior.
But when I open the file (which is an xlsb file) it runs in Excel. How does this work? It looks to me like it is just an Excel file.
What am I not understanding? Or was I misinformed and this *is* and Excel file.
