Is it better to use the today() function is a lot of cells or put today() in another cell and just reference it?

Thanks,

Jim

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
My preference would always be to put the formula into one cell and then refer to that cell from other cells.

Thanks Rory. Didn't know if it made a difference, but recall someone saying that Excel works harder at calculating a function than referring to another cell. It may not be a big difference with a strong processor, but ...

Thanks,

That is true but to my mind it's more important to use a single reference point for the same data. That way if you decided you needed to change it to use a specific date for example, you only need to alter one cell.
