Hi,
I have a serial Honeywell barcode scanner and would like to know how to scan data directly into an excel spreadsheet.
I am using Excel 2003 and the scanner is serial with no k/b wedge connector.
I have tried everything i could think of with no success.
I can open a hyperlink session and see that whatever is scanned appears in the hyperterminal window so i know my interface works fine.
It's driving me nuts as it's probably an easy fix which i cannot seem to find.
Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
My understanding is that a scanner is basically a keyboard. If what you scan isn't appearing in Excel it's an issue with the set up of the scanner rather than anything to do with Excel I believe. I've no experience of working with one though so can't be certain.
