Hi, can anyone please help with my bar chart.

I want a bar chart having two columns with overlap at 100% but one column is wider than the other.

It will be much appreciated if anyone can help on this one.

Thanks,

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Hi Richard,

I would like to have two bar charts one is within the other (with larger width) rather than stacked over each other for easy comparasion. e.g sales income & cost of sales.

Just sent you a PM, but here the advice is reproduced for anyone else that is interested:

Jim

Create the chart using the type "Stacked Bar Chart". Once created, select (ie click on) one of the bars - this should select the entire series. Right-click and choose Format Data Series. Select the Axis tab and choose the option "Plot on secondary Axis". Next choose the Options tab and here you can play around with the "Overlap" and "Gap Width" options - this should allow you to do what you want.

Best regards

Richard
