I am trying to create a spreadsheet that balances my clubs books. Debits are in G6, Credits are in I6 and balance is in K6. I am looking for a formula that leaves K6 blank if there are no numbers in G6 or I6; and will subtract any amounts in G6 and add any amounts in I6. Hope this if sufficient information and thanks for any assistance.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Something like this adjusting the row references: =IF(AND(G4="",I4=""),"",K3-G4+I4)

John Jordan, Good morning.

Try to use:

K6 --> =IF((G6+I6)=0, "", K5-G6+I6)

Is that what you want?
I hope it helps.

Have a nice day!
