You mean trying to have the database back-up itself?
I suppose so, but probably wouldn't recommend it, for a few reasons:
- you may have some record locks if trying to have an open database copy itself
- it would require you to have Access open everyday at that time
If you are interested in using Access to do the backup, it would be best to use a DIFFERENT access database to do it.
Then you could have your Scheduler open the Access database at 6:00 PM everyday. You could set it up so that whenever the database opens, it creates the backup and closes itself.

As you can probably see, I think the batch file solution is much simpler!
