I start my workbook right from the beginning with a (logo)form with no (background) sheet visible. The sheet appears only áfter the form has disappeared (The form stays visible 6 seconds using some timer code).

I used the following code to get it running:

I placed Application.Visible = False as one of the first lines of the code of Thisworkbook (Private Sub Workbook_Open)

I placed Application.Visible = True as one of the last lines of the form code (Private Sub UserForm_activate).

It worked for more then a month... and then suddenly it does not work anymore. Background sheet and form start at the same time. It is not only that it does so in the workbook I'm talking about, it does also in back ups of the workbook.

What has happened?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Have you considered the possibility of a virus?

About a year or so ago I got one that disabled the macro function.

Viruses are not fun!

Well, it is not a virus... It is actually more stupid than that! The application screen was minimalised in such a way that it did not look like it was minimalised! And then the macros give a different result.

Sorry, that I put you guys up with that.
