Hello All,

I have a table with a list of names in column A and % in column B. I would like to know the average % of Sam. Then like wise with john.

A
John - 40%
Sam - 50%
Sam - 30%
Sam - 10%
John - 25%

I'm sure this is a simple formula but I cant seem to get it right. Can you help?

If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
Adrac, Good afternoon.

Try to use:

=AVERAGEIF(A1:A100,"SAM",B1:B100)

Is that what you want?
I hope it helps.

P.s. --> delayed message.
