Hello all ,

I wanting to get the results I havr in col E .

They are simply averaging col B .

Result in cell E11 comes from averaging cells B2:B10
Result in cell E10 comes from averaging cells B2:B9
Result in cell E9 comes from averaging cells B2:B8 and so on .

Also I need to filter three or four cols and am needing to average only those cells
that are filtered .

Thanks .

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
If you only want to average filtered cells try:
<colgroup><col width="172"></colgroup><tbody>
=SUBTOTAL(1,$B$2:B2)

</tbody>
oops missed the "need to filter" part, apologies

Thanks for those , but the functions don’t match my results .

For example average cells B2:B10 , result is 56.1 but I need it to go into cell
E11 . Then if I was to filter say 2 x cols it would only average what I filtered

Thanks .

Should work if you start the formula in cell E3.
