AutoSum characters in one column

Hello,

Can you tell me if there is a way to autosum a single character (x) in one excel column containing over 100 rows? using a macro?

From the example below, I have a spreadsheet with several hundred rows. I would like to total the x's in each column. When a new case and x's are added to the sheet, I would like the totals to automatically update. Please note the sheet is saved as a macro and I do not have MS Access.

I really appreciate any help offered.
