Autosize or Save Query Column Width?

The table produced by a query (Access 2010) seems to default to preset column widths which then have to be manually adjusted to display wide field contents. If the query is saved however and recalled, the adjusted column widths are not preserved. Was wondering if there is any way of saving the column widths (or make them autosize)?

Thanks for any help...

You can change a table setting to accomplish this. With the cursor in any cell in the table,
Right-Click / Table / External Data Properties
In the small window that appears, remove the check mark to the left of the words "Adjust column width", then click OK
Now when you refresh the query the column widths will stay at whatever width you manually set them at.
Be sure to Save the file after you've changed this table setting.

Hey, thanks Ron. What you suggested didn't work exactly (right click doesn't produce the same result - maybe it's the Access version?) but right-click on the table column name gives Field Width/Best Fit (or enter the column width). After Save, displaying the table or a query from the table preserves the column widths!
