In 2003 you could add an AutoShape, right click and go to Format AutoShape, go to Fill, click on the color drop down and do to fill effects, then Pattern and select the pattern that you want to fil the shape with. In 2007 I am unable to do this. I was told there is a plug in to fix that. Is anyone aware of this

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Once you insert a shape in Excel 2007, click on it to switch to the Drawing Tools Format on the Ribbon. Right in the middle of the this particular menu is Shape Fill. You can change the color, gradient, picture or texture from there.

try selecting your shape and from the Ribbon, select the Format command tab. In the Shape Styles group, click SHAPE FILL » select Texture » select the desired texture.

I am not looking for a Gradient or Texture. In 2003 in the Fill Effects there is a Tab for Pattern along with Gradient, Texture and Picture. On this Tab there are different patterns that you can use to Foll an Auto Shape.

Thanks, when I download it where do I save it. I followed the prompts for the un-zip. It does not appear in the Add On in the options menu

Yes I saw and red them. When I go to the Add In selection box, the Pattern Add In is not there.

When click download it downloads a Zip file. When I open the Zip file it ask what directory the the extracted files are to be in. The prompt sends it to a Temp Internet files. I assume that there is a file that Excel looks for to find the downloaded Add Ins. I am not sure where this is.

Thanks
