Hello everybody!!!!

I have a word file that I use for writing quotes in my construction business. In this word file there is a link to a cell in a excel sheet. It automatically updates when I open the file but some times the link needs to be updated after the file is open. Sometimes I make changes to the excel sheet while the word file is open, which inturn changes the link. I know that I can update the link manually, but sometimes people forget and that can cost $$$$$$$. Is there anyway to automatically update the link when MS word is already open and I toggle back to MS word.

Please note and I'm not sure if this maters but the word file is an embed word document with an icon to open in my excel worksheet

Thanks in advance for any help!!!!!!!!

Back into an answer in Excel
Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
You'd have to use the windowsactivate event to trigger a procedure that will update all links in the document.

Instead of doing the above (which entails using a class module and stuff), why not redo the quotation in Excel.

Everything is in Excel thus it should automatically be in sync.
