Automatic hyperlinking to another document - possible?

I have a .doc that I need to have listed as a hyperlink in an excel spreadsheet. However; after the .doc is completed upon save and close I would like a hyperlink to that .doc automatically be placed into a cell in the excel spreadsheet.

Is this possible?
