is there a way that i can have a field in my table that fills in the date dependant on the entry of another field?

Well generally speaking sure, but we need more info to really answer. For example on a form if the salesperson enters the sales date we can add 30 days and display it as first payment due. Then give them the opportunity to edit or not. Is that what you are looking for?

actually what i want to happen is if i invoice something today, i want another cell to fill in what the date is. i do not want that cell to be edited.
