Hi, me again.
So in my workplace we have a system where we earn vacation with an hourly accrual rate (earn so many hours of vacation per hour worked).
We also have a system where we can log in and look at what we've accrued to date, and what we've already used (and we get maximum accruals that we can earn above but not use - but can be rolled over into the next year up to a certain amount).

Most people can go into the system and go "I wanna see how much vacation I'll have accrued by such and such a date" and all they have to do is select that date and the accrual rate will change and show them how much they'll have on that date - assuming they work their 40 hours each week up to that day.

I used to be able to do this as well. But with my newer role, I fall into a percentage of employees with no "scheduled shift" in our system even though technically I do have a shift (hard to explain).
This means that while I can still see what I've accrued up to the last day worked, I can no longer see future accruals because it can't calculate without a scheduled shift in there.

Me and math have always had issues lol. And while I can sit there each time and try to use a calculator to do the math, I'd like to create a spreadsheet to automatically track my accrual time based on my rate.

Is that possible? If so can someone please help me on how to do it?

Thank you in advance.

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
