Autofill Cells

Hello Everyone,
i am a bit of a noob with Access so a bit of help would be much appreciated. How can you get Access to autofill a cell. Ford example i have names in column A and the staff number in column b. The straff number does not change. Is there a way of when i enter a name the staff no automatically appears. Hope this makes sense.
