I am using EXCEL 2000 and one of my spreadsheets only has auto-complete for 1 page. As soon as I start a new page, there is nothing in the auto-complete list and I have to start over. And again when I start the next page. Why is that and can I change that?

Thank you,

Tom H

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Autocomplete will only work in a continuous list. Once you have a break in the list or switch columns or worksheets, then yes, you have to start over.

Thank you for your reply. But I am in the same column and I was doing fine with the column until last Sunday. How did I inadvertently insert a break in my column? Any ideas?

Thank you.

Well that is strange. However, if you have a blank row somewhere in there, then Excel sees that as a new data set and sort of resets everything. Make sure you don't have any blank rows in your column separating your data.
