Hi

I'm looking for a way to automatically position the cursor into the first editable field when you select the add new record option on a form. I've checked this board and several books and have come up with nothing.

Thanks for any help.

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
The command to set focus to a particular field is SetFocus. Ie:-

Forms!Employees!EmployeeID.SetFocus

If you put this in the forms OnCurrent event it will fire each time the record changes if you only want it to fire when you enter a new record you will need to add some more code to check whether it is a blank record or not.
