hi there,

i've been trying to get this excel to work with no luck..

attached below is 2 pictures

first picture is the data dump that I update regularly

second picture is a table chart that I am trying to get the data to populate from the data dump based on 2 factors: date of shift and team #

ideally in each box whenever the appropriate date is selected - it will auto populate the names from picture 1 - i would like it to populate it as.... First Name + Last Name + Start of Shift + End of Shift

what would be the proper formula to get this working?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
a pivot table can give you the info in a few clicks.
will that not work?

yes a pivote table should - but would it I be able generate it into picture 2?

This way its easier to read for other departments and ideally - can add a slicer for the date so when I change the date it will auto populate the information for the date kinda like an IF function i guess?

would an IF function Vlookup be what i need to do?

IF function to check the first criteria is the proper date which will be tied to the slicer, then the 2nd criteria will be to the department (ie. Sales, Tech, Loyalty), then if it matches it should shoot out the first name + last name + start time + end time

but the issue is... how am i able to do so that it wont just keep populating the same name?
