auto-enter after scan

Hello all,

i'm a novice but daily user of excel.
i want to know if there is a way i can use textbox to perform an auto-enter funtion or move to the next cell automatically after data is inserted into a cell?

i'm using a handheld scanner to input tracking numbers from packages and pressing enter after each scan adds an extra tedious step to the process. if this is possible, can a step by step process on how to enter the code be provided?
i'm using ms 2010.

Have you set Excel Options > Advanced, After pressing Enter, move selection

not sure what you mean by that.

File > Options > Advanced, the very first checkbox. Tick it, and in the dropdown below, set the direction you want the selection to move.

those options are already set. i'm trying to get excel to auto enter.

I'd have thought the scanner would have to send a carriage return after an entry; perhaps it's sending a line feed instead. Got documentation?
