I would like to send a document with macro to other computers, with the ability so that when the other computer opens the document with the macro, it will be auto enabled. Is there any way to get to this work without having to tweak the macro settings firsthand in the other computer(s)?

Doing a google search came up with this.
  1. In Excel, click on the File tab and select “options”.
  2. In the “Excel options” dialog box, click “trust center settings” in the “trust center” option.
  3. From the “macro settings,” select the extent of permission to be granted.
  4. In the “ActiveX settings” option (under “trust center settings”), select “enable all controls without restrictions and without prompting”.
  5. Create a GPO and check the settings under Word Options, Security, Trust Center2.
I have not been able to test it properly, so I am still speculating. Is this the way to go about it or there is a better way?

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
You are better off forcing people to enable macros when prompted, on opening your workbook. Have the workbook show a single tab with a message of "Macros must be enabled for this workbook.", and have the Workbook_Open event unhide the normally showing tabs and hiding the notification tab.
