Auto correct name spelling from a reference list

Hii,

I am trying to create a sheet that would track samples distribution to customers.

In the attached sheet under the Tracking Sheet tab I've set the "HCP" column to be a drop down menu to avoid miss spelling names.

I want to avoid miss spelling names so the pivot table would be accurate.

The thing is, trying to find the name from the drop down list is time consuming. :(

I have found some tutorials to add a search bar to the drop down menu but it requires VBA which I know nothing about or the "Filter" function which is not yet in my excel 2016.

Is there anyway I could set the HCP cells to auto correct the names inserted using the drop down list as a reference?

Thank you

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
Great
Got rid of one error
The external data error is still there
Threads online says its because of the pivot table
Anyways, this will do
Thank you very much!!
