Hi, I'll give this a go as colo is unavailable.

Is this possible and how would I go about doing it?

Sheet1 (Calendar) has formulas in the range B14:M50 that automatically show you this months date along with the next 10 months, Col C is not used as it is a divider.

Sheet2 (List) Allows information to be entered from C9 down along with dates from D9 down, which is constantly growing.

I am after a way to show a note of the contents from sheet2 Col C in sheet1 in the cell if the dates match up with sheet2 Col D.

I'm using Excel 2000

Thanks

Just found excel jeanie so will give it a go. It's just a small section that shows the start of a couple of months to give you an idea. I dare say the formulas can be done much better with a little knowledge.

Maybe a different approach?

I'll duplicate sheet1 as sheet4 but instead of automatically creating dates then what formula would be best.

Here's the layout.

B13 - M13 create months automatically from this month onwards so B14 onwards in sheet1 works out the calendar date for the next 10 months with colA showing also what day it is.

I'm looking for sheet4 to look at sheet1 - B14 for example and if nothing then leave cell sheet4 - B14 blank, but if not then to look at the date in sheet1 - B14 and if it matches the month and date in sheet2 (List) from D9 down then show the information from C9 down with the relevant match cell eg: date matches sheet2 - D20 therefore show sheet2 - C20 etc..

I think I'd be using something like lookup, match, index or something similar but can't for the life of me understand how it works, I just get a mental block.

Hope I explained it well.

Or if it's easier then go back to the original idea of placing the same information into a text box at the appropriate cell on sheet1, but I have no idea how to even start doing that.

Regards
