Art work pricing formula

Hi

Need help with this.

I have a range of sizes of pieces of art from 35 inches2 to 352 inches2. I then put amounts of money along side each size. The amount per square inch decreases as the size gets larger.

35 x £10 = £ 350
352 x £3 = £1056

The rates in £'s per square inch between 35 and 352 will decrease towards the higher size in even square inch steps between £10 and £3.

If I can make this happen then I can change the sizes of the pieces of art and also change the high and low figures.

Hi,
If sizes are listed in column A (A2 downward) and the price is listed in column B (B2 downward)
In cell D2 you can type the size needed.
Cell E2 would contain the flowing formula

=INDEX($B$2:$B$14,MATCH($D$2,$A$2:$A$14,1))

The formula range is only to row 14, extend the range to suit the size of your list

G2	=($C$3+($B$3-F2)*($C$2-$C$3)/($B$3-$B$2))*F2
