Hi

I am trying to help my son with his assignment and he has been told to get his sheet to show blank in this array formula returns a value of #N/A
{=VLOOKUP("N4",CHOOSE({1,2},Table1[[#All],[Seat Number]],Table1[[#All],[Ticket Number]]),2,FALSE)}

I have tried using If(ISNA) in the array and I am still getting the error. Can anyone advise please

Thanks
Chris

P.S I would have used Index Match personally but they was told to use Vlookup and choose, who am I to argue :)

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
your cell reference should not have quotes around it. Should be
Code:
=VLOOKUP(N4,...

Table1

[TABLE="class: grid"]

[TR]
[TD]
Ticket Number
[/TD]
[TD]
Seat Number
[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]
111
[/TD]
[TD]
N1
[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]
222
[/TD]
[TD]
N4
[/TD]
[/TR]
[TR]
[TD]
333
[/TD]
[TD]
N7
[/TD]
[/TR]

[/TABLE]

=VLOOKUP("N4",CHOOSE({1,2},Table1[[#All],[Seat Number]],Table1[[#All],[Ticket Number]]),2,FALSE)
confirmed with just Enter

Result = 222
