The MrExcel podcast is brought to you by “Easy-XL”!
Hey, welcome back to the MrExcel netcast, I'm Bill Jelen.
Episode #1200, that's our 1100 episodes, and it's April Fool's Day, so I'm going to do my favorite April Fool's Day trick, hopefully you got this early enough on April 1st.
Wait ‘till your manager or co-worker goes to lunch, sneak into his office, go to the Quick Access Toolbar, right-click and say Customize Quick Access Toolbar.
The command we want is not in the Popular Commands, let's go down to All Commands, and then scroll down to the S, Speak Cells on Enter.
Add that to the toolbar, click OK, turn it on, “Cells will now be spoken on Enter.” And then, to really make it good, right-click, Customize Quick Access Toolbar, remove it so that way your manager has no clue what you did!
Manager comes back from lunch, sits down, starts to type his spreadsheet.
And just like lieutenant Uhura on the original Star Trek, that computer repeats back everything that they type, drives some crazy.
There you go, happy April Fool's Day, happy podcast #1200, thanks for stopping by, we'll see you next time for another netcast from MrExcel!
