Hi,

I have a list in column H, from H5 to H999. I have the same list on another tab in column D. If the user changes anything in H5:H999, I want the cell to turn red. How can I conditionally format this so H5 looks at D5 from the second tab, H6 looks at D6, H7 looks at D7, and so on. All of the examples I've been able to find only seem to explain an example where H5:H999 would be compared to a single cell.

Thanks in advance!

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off
Assuming tab 1 is ‘Sheet 1’ and tab 2 is ‘Sheet 2’ Put this in your conditional formatting and the select the range H5 to H999

=IF(Sheet1!$H5=Sheet2!$D5,1,0)
